Hector Morales

Chicago Board of Education, District 2a, on the Chicago ballot November 3, 2026.

Running on

Morales says he would make music and the arts part of every school's core curriculum, a push that grew out of volunteering to teach electronic music at Gale Elementary. He wants CPS to partner more with local universities so high school students see college as an option, and says the board must use every dollar efficiently before asking for more money. He is endorsed by the Common Ground Collective and The Urban Center.
