Running on

Rosenfeld says she is running to ensure every child receives a safe, rigorous, and high-quality education regardless of socioeconomic status, race, religion, or circumstances. She presents herself as independent of both the mayor and the Chicago Teachers Union, saying she answers to students and parents in her district. She declined to sign a 2026 pledge for a three-year pause on generative AI in CPS, saying she shares concerns about tech use but was uncomfortable with a sweeping multiyear commitment.

Background

Rosenfeld began her career as a third grade teacher at Dulles and Hartigan Elementary Schools and has been a CPS parent and Local School Council leader. She won the District 4 seat on Chicago's first hybrid school board in November 2024.
