Bannon says he puts students first, asking whether each policy decision is best for Chicago's kids, and campaigns on budget accountability and transparency in school funding. He calls for qualified teachers, counselors, and classroom resources for Northwest Side schools. At a 2026 town hall he said finding ways to increase funding for public education without raising property taxes is a top goal.
Background
Career experience includes serving as executive director of the Six Corners Association. He served about ten years on the Dever Elementary Local School Council and was appointed to the board's District 1A seat in January 2025.
