- Kim Przekota (Democratic, Incumbent): Circuit judge appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2025, previously a Cook County assistant state's attorney (2008-2025); unopposed in the primary.
- Jarrett Knox (Democratic): Cook County assistant state's attorney in the child protection division since 2019, formerly an attorney at the Cook County Public Guardian's office; won the primary over John R. Carrozza, 61.51% to 38.49%.
