Running on

Politico's Illinois Playbook reported in August 2026 that she is running for a third term as treasurer after her unsuccessful 2026 congressional bid. No campaign website or detailed platform for the treasurer race found yet. In August 2026 she urged the City Council to dissolve the Chicago Community Catalyst Fund and move its more than $57 million into the city's corporate fund, saying the money should help avoid police and firefighter layoffs.
