Hanson's campaign issues page lists the family, the economy, growth and development, crime, immigration, small business, and inflation. He says he is pro-life, wants to use the Tenth Amendment to limit federal spending, supports prosecuting violent criminals without early release and fully supporting law enforcement, backs lawful immigration while opposing illegal immigration and open borders, and says inflation is a government-created problem that Congress must address by not printing money. In a 2024 Sun-Times questionnaire he named crime, the economy, and mental health as his top issues.
Background
He is a commercial real estate broker who earlier sold advertising for the Chicago Tribune and U.S. News & World Report, and has been the Republican nominee against Quigley in several prior cycles.
