Running on
Getty's campaign site lists cost of living, immigration and public safety, and government accountability as his priorities, and says he wants to restore trust in government and protect the integrity of elections. At an April 2026 UIC forum he said he does not support abolishing ICE, that there should be a clear process for immigrants to become citizens, and that federal agents should not come into neighborhoods to detain people. In August 2026 he told Desplaines Valley News that the cost of living was the top issue he heard while gathering petition signatures.
Background
He has been mayor of Lyons, Illinois since 2009, also serves as Lyons Township supervisor, and works as a licensed insurance producer.
