Elected from the 8th Subcircuit in 2020; serves in the Law Division after an assignment in the Domestic Violence Division. Injustice Watch reports that he was a senior attorney and supervisor in the Chicago Law Department when the department was criticized for improperly withholding evidence of police abuse in lawsuits, and that its research found no instance in which he was individually accused in court of withholding evidence. He declined to comment on his work there. A judge stays on the bench with a yes from 60 percent of voters.
